Created by and for the emergency services community, the Blue Light Symphony Orchestra is the world’s only orchestra of its kind.

BLSO brings together musicians who are serving and former emergency services personnel, NHS staff, military personnel and others connected to the blue light community. Founded to support wellbeing through music, the orchestra creates space for connection, purpose and shared musical experience away from the pressures of emergency service life.

This BLSO warmly welcomes the wider emergency services community — those who serve, those who have served, their families, friends and supporters — as well as anyone who wants to hear a remarkable orchestra with a powerful human story behind it.

The programme includes Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World” — one of the best-loved works in the orchestral repertoire, full of unforgettable melodies, drama and hope.
